Yetman Chosen To NFCA All-America Third Team

Wayne State University senior pitcher Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont.) has been selected to the 2008 Louisville/Slugger NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-America Third Team. In 2008, she set a WSU single-season record with 28 wins while recording the second-highest one-year strikeout total with 265 (set the school mark in 2007 with 300 strikeouts). Yetman limited opposing batters to a .147 average in over 203 innings. She recorded 10 shutouts by herself, and shared another three with Nicole Abel. (more)

Two Warriors Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

Wayne State University senior catcher Sarah Berry (Acton, Ont.) and senior pitcher Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont.) were voted to the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-Great Lakes Region First Team. (more)

Three Warriors Named To NCAA Great Lakes Region All-Tournament Team

Three Wayne State University senior softball players were voted to the NCAA Great Lakes Region All-Tournament team. WSU went 2-2 in the regional tournament including a victory over the defending national champion SIUE Cougars, the tournament runner-up. (more)
