2007-08: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Earned seven All-America awards including four First Team accolades ... finished third and broke her own school record in three individual events - the 1650 free (16:53.51), 1000 free (10:06.67) and 500 free ... came in sixth in the 200 free (1:51.79) after eclipsing her own WSU record in prelims (1:51.56) ... led the ninth-place 800 free relay (7:41.26) and anchored the 10th-place 400 medley relay (3:53.98), both of which set school records ... also anchored the 10th-place 400 free relay which broke the school record in the prelims (3:31.16) and finals (3:30.66). GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Successfully defended her GLIAC title in the 1000 free (10:25.31) ... also won the 1650 free (17:19.83) and finished third in the 500 free (5:06.10) ... swam the second leg of the second-place 800 free relay (7:49.59). SEASON: Broke three school records at the Eastern Michigan Invitational (200 free - 1:53.56; 500 free - 4:58.52; 1650 free - 17:05.23), all of which she reset at nationals ... swam the third 200 of the 800 free relay which broke the school record (7:41.35) ... earned GLIAC Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honors for her efforts ... named CollegeSwimming.com Division II Women's Swimmer of the Week (Jan. 16) after aiding WSU to two dual meet victories over Grand Valley State and Indianapolis ... won the 200 freestyle (1:55.88) and the 500 freestyle (5:05.60) against GVSU, and swam the third leg of WSU's first-place 400 freestyle relay ... won the 1000 freestyle (10:31.91) and 500 freestyle (5:09.29) while placing second in the 200 freestyle (1:55.42) against Indy.
2006-07: NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP: Earned six All-America accolades, including three First Team awards by placing second in three different individual events ... broke two of her own school records in the 1000 freestyle (10:09.98) and the 1650 freestyle (17:09.13), and also posted a strong time in the 500 freestyle (5:00.44) ... was also part of three relays to earn Honorable Mention recognition - the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.24 - 16th), 400 freestyle relay (3:35.23 - 14th) and 800 freestyle relay (7:47.23 - 10th) ... finished 21st in the 200 freestyle (1:56.18). GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIP: Broke her own school record in the 500 free, winning in a time of 5:00.14 ... also set a new GLIAC record and broke her own WSU record with her victory in the 1000 free (10:19.51) ... finished second in the 200 free (1:55.81) ... led off the second-place 800 free relay (7:48.42) and swam the second leg of the 400 free relay (3:35.33), which also came in second ... swam in the preliminary 200 free relay (1:41.67 - 4th). SEASON: Broke the school records for the 500 (5:02.44), 1000 (10:22.19), and 1650 (17:14.63) freestyle events Dec. 1-2 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational ... was a part of the record-setting 400 and 800 freestyle relays as well.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Jenison High School ... was a four-year letterwinner and led the Wildcats to a conference title in 2004, as well as a first-place finish at the West Michigan relays in 2005 ... earned all-conference honors all four years and all-state accolades in 2004 and 2005 ... a two-time team MVP, she served as the team captain in 2005 ... won three conference championships in the 500 free (2003-05), and another in the 200 free in 2003 ... swam to an eighth-place finish in the 500 free (5:07.30 prelims, 5:06.32 finals) and ninth-place in the 200 free (1:56.75 prelims, 1:56.17 finals) at the Division I state meet in 2005 ... was also a varsity water polo player.
