YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Wayne State women's swimming and diving team suffered its second straight dual meet loss, a 137-96 setback at Eastern Michigan on Friday evening.
Freshman Elaina Hogle (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) bested her own school record in the 200 individual medley, turning in a first-place time of 2:08.29. Hogle also finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:00.27).
Ashley St. Andrew (Grand Rapids, Mich./Jenison) won two events, the 1000 free (10:33.48) and the 500 free (5:07.60).
Melissa Duff (Howell, Mich./Brighton) took second place in the 1000 free (10:46.58) and fourth in the 500 free (5:18.23).
In the diving competitions, Erika Barczak (Williamston, Mich.) posted strong scores in the one-meter (241.13) and three-meter (245.03), coming in third place on both boards.
Wayne State will host Ashland on Feb. 2, its final competition until the GLIAC Championship, hosted by Ashland on Feb. 21-24.
