ASHLAND, Ohio - The Wayne State women's swimming and diving team earned a 119-74 victory at Ashland on Friday in GLIAC competition.

The Warriors won seven individual events, sweeping the top three spots in three of them. Mandy Burton (Ypsilanti, Mich./Lincoln), Haintso Rakouth (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage), and Amanda Marshall (Berkley, Mich.) swept the 200 freestyle, while Brooke White (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Lakeview), Julie Danaher (Allen Park, Mich.), and Rakouth took the top three finishes in the 100 free. Melissa Duff (Howell, Mich./Brighton), Burton, and Whitney Baker (Trenton, Mich.) were the top finishers in the 500 free.

Duff and Tiffanie Laforet (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Annes) finished first and second, respectively, in the 1000 free, and Christy Koehler (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Lake Shore) and Stephanie Cummings (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) went one-two in the 100 butterfly.

Koehler also earned a first-place finish in the 400 IM, and Katie Harrigan (Portage, Mich./Northern) won the 100 backstroke.

The Warriors conclude the regular season at home on Saturday, Jan. 28, against conference foe Gannon.
