Indianapolis, Ind. - The Wayne State University women's swimming/diving team is tied-for-18th with 13 points after day one of the 2006 NCAA Division II Championships being held at the IUPUI Natatorium.
WSU's lone competitor on Wednesday, sophomore diver Erika Barczak (Williamston, Mich.), placed sixth on three meter to earn First Team All-America honors (top 8 earn First Team while 9-16 earn Honorable Mention All-American) with a finals score of 379.70.
Barczak will compete on the one-meter board on Friday.
Truman State leads with 145 points and is followed by UC San Diego (123), Drury (86), North Dakota (81) and West Chester (60) rounds out the top five.
