BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Wayne State women's swimming and diving team is in 12th place out of 25 teams through Thursday night's events at the NCAA Championship.
Drury University (317) and Truman State University (263) have a commanding lead over the rest of the field. The Warriors have 45 points.
Six members of the squad earned All-America honorable mention accolades for their performances.
The 200 freestyle relay combination of Katie Harrigan (Portage, Mich./Northern), Julie Danaher (Allen Park, Mich.), Laura Leix (Flint, Mich./Southwestern), and Ashley St. Andrew (Grand Rapids, Mich./Jenison) finished in 16th place (1:40.24).
Elaina Hogle (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) turned in an 11th-place time of 4:32.98 in the 400 individual medley.
In the one-meter diving competition, Erika Barczak (Williamston, Mich.) finished in 14th place (291.70).
Harrigan, Hogle, Leix, and Danaher came in 12th place in the 400 medley relay (3:58.49).
