Heading into the GLIAC Championships this week, the Wayne State women's swimming and diving team was ranked ninth in the country, while the men's team was ranked 11th overall, according to CollegeSwimming.com.
Both teams are the second-highest ranked GLIAC team in their respective polls. Indianapolis is the only conference team ranked higher, fifth in the women's poll and seventh in the men's.
The Warriors will look to claim the GLIAC title as they head to Northern Michigan for the Championships, which begin Wednesday evening.
