Buffalo, N.Y. - Six Wayne State University women swimmers will be competing this evening in the finals on day one of the 2007 NCAA Championship at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center in Buffalo.
Freshman Ashley St. Andrew (Grand Rapids, Mich./Jenison) is the top seed for tonight's timed finals in the 1000 free. Also swimming the 1000 free will be sophomore Melissa Duff (Howell, Mich./Brighton), the seventh seed.
Freshman Elaina Hogle (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) qualified for the "B" final of the 200 IM with a prelim time of 2:08.93 this morning.
WSU's 200 medley relay quartet of junior Katie Harrigan (Portage, Mich./Northern), Hogle, freshman Laura Leix (Flint, Mich./Southwestern) and sophomore Julie Danaher (Allen Park, Mich.) also qualified for tonight's "B" final with a prelim time of 1:49.37.
