BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Wayne State women's swimming and diving team had individuals competing in two events on Saturday during the preliminary round of the NCAA Championship.

The 400 freestyle relay of Ashley St. Andrew (Grand Rapids, Mich./Jenison), Julie Danaher (Allen Park, Mich.), Katie Harrigan (Portage, Mich./Northern), and Elaina Hogle (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) finished 13th (3:35.44) and qualified for tonight's "B" finals.

In the three-meter diving competition, Venessa Torres (Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt) came in 12th (325.75) and Erika Barczak (Williamston, Mich./Williamston) placed 20th (167.60).

St. Andrew (17:14.63) and Melissa Duff (Howell, Mich./Brighton) (17:15.90) hold the top two seed times in the 1650 freestyle.

Wayne State enters the last day of the championship in 10th place with 102 points. Saturday's finals will begin at 6:30 p.m., and fans can follow the action live at this link.
