For the second time this season, Wayne State freshman Elaina Hogle (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) was named the GLIAC Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.

In WSU's first home meet of the season against Findlay this past Friday, Hogle shattered the Wayne State record in the 400 individual medley by nearly seven seconds with a time of 4:33.89, making an NCAA "B" cut and narrowly missing an "A" cut by .80 seconds.

She won the event by almost 20 seconds, aiding Wayne State to a dominant 109-63 victory over the Oilers.

The Warriors will compete at the Eastern Michigan Invitational on Dec. 1-2.
