Orlando, Fla. - The Wayne State women's tennis team (13-6) defeated Merrimack, 9-0, in Orlando, Fla. The win marked the fourth straight win this spring for the Warriors, all coming in their current Florida trip, and sixth overall dating back to the fall season.
All six Warriors won their respective singles matches: Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich./Trenton), Colette Cabot (Fruitport, Mich./Fruitport), Steph Nicolson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover), Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica), Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero) and Stephanie Van Tuyl (Riverview, Mich./Gabriel Richard). Nicolson won by default at #3.
The doubles teams of Mays/Nicolson, Pressotto/Cabot and Van Tuyl/Luzod all were victorious.
