HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Wayne State women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Kutztown University on Monday in its second Spring Break match at Hilton Head, S.C.
Ashley Abramson (Royal Oak, Mich./West Bloomfield) and Olga Petrovic (Windsor, Ont./Kennedy C.I.) earned the sole doubles victory for Wayne State, defeating Kristen Bodalski and Lauren Losoncy, 8-2, in the No. 3 spot.
Abramson and Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich.) won their respective singles matches, and Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica) was ahead 7-5, 5-5 before having to retire due to an injury.
The Warriors' spring schedule continues Wednesday against Missouri Valley.
