Orlando, Fla. - The Wayne State women's tennis team (17-6) won its 10th straight match by defeating Lees-McRae, 9-0, Wednesday afternoon. The win marked the sixth shutout in the Warriors' last eight matches and was the final match in their Orlando trip.
The closest match was at #1 singles as Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich./Trenton) defeated Kasey Mabe, 6-1, 7-6 (7-2).
Other victorious Warriors in singles action were Colette Cabot (Fruitport, Mich./Fruitport), Steph Nicolson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover), Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica), Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero) and Stephanie Van Tuyl (Riverview, Mich./Gabriel Richard).
The doubles teams of Nicolson/Mays, Pressotto/Cabot and Van Tuyl/Luzod were also victorious.
The Warriors do not play again until hosting Grand Valley State on March 25. The match is scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
