GRANDVILLE, Mich. - The WSU women's tennis team defeated GLIAC foe Grand Valley State, 7-2, on Sunday in Grandville, Mich. The Warriors have a 5-2 record in spring matches this season.
Wayne State took a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Steph Nicolson and Dee Mays won at No. 1 doubles, 8-6, and the No. 2 duo of Amanda Pressotto and Collette Cabot was victorious, 9-7.
The Warriors won five of the six singles matches to clinch the victory. Nicolson, Ashley Abramson, Pressotto, and Sargam Bhatt all won in straight sets, while Mays worked to a three-set victory.
Wayne State's next match is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, at Alma.
