ALLENDALE, Mich. - The WSU women's tennis team suffered a narrow 5-4 defeat against Lake Superior State on Saturday, snapping the Warriors' three-match winning streak.

The Lakers held a 2-1 advantage after doubles play, with Wayne State's sole victory coming from the No. 2 duo of Collette Cabot and Amanda Pressotto. They have won four straight doubles matches together.

Wayne State and LSSU split the singles action at 3-3. Ashley Abramson won in straight sets at third singles, improving to 5-0 this spring. Dee Mays earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles, her fourth straight singles win. Pressotto also won in the fifth slot and remains unbeaten (6-0) in spring play.

The Warriors will face GLIAC foe Grand Valley State tomorrow.
