Rensselaer, Ind. - The Wayne State women's tennis team (20-6) won its 13th straight match as the Warriors defeated St. Joseph's (Ind.), 9-0, Thursday afternoon.
The Warriors and Pumas agreed to an "eight-game pro set" style of match, due to inclement weather.
Winning Warriors in singles action were: Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich./Trenton), Steph Nicolson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover), Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica), Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero), Stephanie Van Tuyl (Riverview, Mich./Gabriel Richard) and Sargam Bhatt (Canton, Mich./Taylor Truman).
The doubles teams of Nicolson/Mays, Pressotto/Van Tuyl and Bhatt/Luzod were also victorious.
Wayne State will play Lewis on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
