Institute, W.Va. - Wayne State women's tennis blanked Kentucky Wesleyan College 9-0 on the first of the West Virginia Stat Tournament on Friday, September 1. The match was the first for both teams.
Seniors Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich./Trenton), Colette Cabot (Fruitport, Mich./Fruitport), Steph Nicolson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover), Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica), Stephanie Van Tuyl (Riverview, Mich./Gabriel Richard), and freshman Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero) all earned singles victories.
The doubles teams of Mays/Nicholson, Cabot/Pressotto, and Luzod/ Sargam Bhatt (Canton, Mich./Taylor Truman) all defeated their counterparts.
