FINDLAY, Ohio - The Wayne State Warriors women's tennis recorded its first victory of the season, defeating Findlay (0-4, 0-3 GLIAC) 8-1 on Saturday. Wayne State (1-2, 1-2 GLIAC) won five of six singles matches and all three doubles matches.

WSU combined to shut Findlay out in four sets during singles play, including two by Sargam Bhatt (Canton, Mich./Taylor Truman), who did not drop a game all afternoon in her No. 5 singles match. Bhatt and Whitney Dillon (Portage, Mich./Central) also scored an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica) and Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich.) each won their second singles match of the season.

Wayne State returns home for an exhibition match with Western Ontario on Wednesday before heading out to the ITA Regionals in Midland on September 16 and 17.
