DETROIT, Mich. - The Wayne State women's tennis team played their first matches at home this season, defeating Western Ontario in exhibition play on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 8-1 The Warriors were victorious in five of the six singles matches and all three doubles matches.
Singles competition
1. Steph Nicolson (WS) def. Sana Sainani (WO) 6-0, 6-1
2. Dee Mays (WS) def. Tori Whyte (WO) 6-1, 6-1
3. Amanda Pressotto (WS) def. Dina Meshki (WO) 6-2, 6-0
4. Laura Fogler (WO) def. Stephanie Van Tuyl (WS) 6-2, 6-3
5. Whitney Dillon (WS) def. Michelle Yu (WO) 7-6(5), 6-0
6. Sargam Bhatt (WS) def. Michelle Latosinsky (WO) 6-2, 6-0
7. Lindsey Oshnock (WS) def. Heather Pals (WO) (exhibition)
Doubles competition

Wayne State will stay home this weekend to play Lake Superior State on Friday, Sept. 23, and Michigan Tech on Saturday, Sept. 24.
