ERIE, Pa. - The Wayne State women's tennis team (4-5 overall and GLIAC) lost to conference rival Mercyhurst (7-4, 5-4 GLIAC) 7-2 on Sunday in Erie, Pa.  Junior Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich.) picked up victories in both singles and doubles.

Pressotto defeated Jamie Sutyak 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and teamed up with junior Whitney Dillon (Portage, Mich./Central) to beat Jennifer Daly and Christine Mersch 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.

Pressotto remains unbeaten in the month of October (3-0 singles, 3-0 doubles), while Dillon has partnered with Pressotto for her last three doubles victories.

The GLIAC Tournament awaits the Warriors, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Midland Tennis Center.
