Detroit, Mich. - Wayne State (7-4 overall, 4-4 GLIAC) dropped a 6-3 decision to visiting Ferris State Friday afternoon at the Eastside Racquet Club. The Warriors have lost two-in-a-row.

Wayne State wonly won two of six singles matches. #4 singles Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica) was victorious in a marathon win over Jenna O'Dell, 4-6, 7-5, 14-12. The win was the first win for Mays that went more than two sets this season. #6 singles Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero) defeated Katie Perdue, 6-3, 6-2.

The only doubles team that won was the team of senior Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich./Trenton) and senior Colette Cabot (Fruitport, Mich./Fruitport), who beat O'Dell and Allison Halbert, 8-4.

The Warriors will host Grand Valley State tomorrow, October 21, at noon at the Wayne State tennis courts. If it rains, the match will be played at Eastside.
