Women's Tennis Drops 5-1 Decision to No. 1 Seeded Northwood in GLIAC Tournament

The Warriors defeated Ferris State in round one, 5-2.

Jennifer Bradford was a first round winner

MIDLAND, Mich - The No. 4 seeded Warriors women's tennis squad prevailed 5-2 over the No. 5 seeded Ferris State Bulldogs in the first round of the GLIAC championship tournament Saturday.

In the second round of competition the Warriors lost to Northwood University, the No.1 seed, 5-1. The lone victory came in the first flight of doubles.

Sharon Gill (Windsor, Ontario/Academie Ste. Cecile) and Milena Vuksanovic (Pancevo, Serbia/ Uros Predic Secondary School) defeated Ashley Nuemann and Roberta Huetter 8-6.

Third round action will begin Sunday at 10 a.m.
