The 2007 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis bracket of 62 teams was released Wednesday and Wayne State earned its third-straight bid to the tournament. The Warriors (20-7) travel to Springfield, Mo., to play the host - and 30th ranked - Drury Panthers (17-5) on Friday, May 4. The tournament is single-elimination with the winner facing the winner of Grand Valley State (20-9) and Lake Superior State (12-7).

The bid marks the third consecutive year that the women's team has made it to the NCAAs. Two seasons ago, the Warriors' season came to an end at the hands at Ferris State, 5-0, and fell to Grand Valley by the same score last season at Drury.

Wayne State, who had won 13 straight matches before its regular-season loss at Lewis, has not played since the 5-4 loss to the Flyers on April 6. The Warriors boast one 20+-match winner, Dee Mays (Detroit, Mich./Utica), who has an overall record of 22-2, and five players who have at least 15 wins: Stephanie Van Tuyl (Riverview, Mich./Gabriel Richard), 19-6, Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero), 18-8, Amanda Pressotto (Trenton, Mich.), 16-8, Colette Cabot (Fruitport, Mich.), 15-9, and Steph Nicolson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover), 15-7.

Wayne State and Drury have played five common opponents: Lincoln (Mo.), Grand Valley, Northwood, Ferris State and St. Joseph's (Ind.). The Warriors are 3-4 while the Panthers are 4-1.
