Bay City, Mich. - Freshman Sharon Gill (Windsor, Ont./Academie Ste. Cecile) was named to the All-GLIAC first team as voted by the league coaches. Gill was the only WSU tennis player to receive post season honors.

Gill had a breakout first season posting an impressive 11-4 overall singles record and a 6-3 conference mark at the No. 1 position which ranked third in the conference standings. Gill also teamed with freshman Milena Vuksanovic (Pancevo, Serbia/Uros Predic Secondary School) to post a 7-6 dual-match record at the No. 1 doubles positions with an 8-7 overall mark.

Gill also began the season advancing to the round of 16 in the 64 player singles draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Great Lakes Regional.
