Four members of the 2008-09 Wayne State University women's tennis team were named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic team.
To be eligible for all-academic status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0, on a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first year transfer.
Selected to the GLIAC All-Academic team were junior Meghan Luzod (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero), and sophomores Debora Correa (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colegio Padre Eustaquio), Sharon Gill (Windsor, Ont./Academie Ste. Cecile) and Milena Vuksanovic (Pancevo, Serbia/Uros Predic Secondary School).
The three sophomores were eligible for the award for the first time this season, while Luzod is a two-time recipient.
