Allison Jurasek is in her third year as assistant coach as she joined the Wayne State coaching staff after a season as the starting middle blocker for the Warriors in 2002.

In her lone season as a Warrior, Jurasek was named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team. She was the first Warrior to gain all-conference honors since Erin Meyer made the first team in 1999. As a senior, Jurasek played in all 99 games (27 matches). She was second on the squad in attack percentage (.260), digs (244) and blocks (87). Jurasek's career-high of 19 kills came at LSSU on October 13, 2002 and she was also named to the Findlay Classic All-Tournament team. Her teammates selected her as the team's Most Valuable Player.

Prior to WSU, Jurasek played at the Univesity of Tennessee-Chattanooga (2000) and Henry Ford Community College (1998-99) where she was all-conference and all-region selection.

The 25-year-old native of Clinton, graduated from Clinton High School as the salutatorian in 1998. At Wayne State, Jurasek was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.5+) for Fall 2001 and Winter 2003. Jurasek graduated in May 2003 cum laude and is currently enrolled in the physician assistant master's program at WSU.

2002: Started all 27 matches ... third on team with 238 kills ... second in attack percentage at .260 ... second on team in blocks with 87 ... has seven double-doubles ... recorded a .538 attack percentage against Concordia (Sept. 11) ... career-high 19 kills at LSSU (Oct. 13) ... averaged 2.46 digs per game with 244 total, second on team ... season-high 19 digs against St. Joseph's (Aug. 31) ... named to the Findlay Classic All-Tournament Team ... selected as the team's Most Valuable Player.
