ASHLAND, Ohio - The Wayne State volleyball team's record fell to 0-8 (0-3 GLIAC) on the season following a 3-0 loss at Ashland (7-4, 1-1 GLIAC) on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles swept the match by scores of 30-18, 30-17, and 30-24, while outhitting the Warriors, .275 to .099.
Miranda Robison (Coldwater, Mich.) reached her second double-double of the season, posting 10 kills and 12 digs. Kristi Pieper (Roseville, Mich./Fraser) led all players with 25 digs, just three shy of her career high.
Jordan Peek (Birch Run, Mich./Frankenmuth) and Mary Leverentz (Three Rivers, Mich.) each had a match-high four block assists.
Wayne State plays its home opener at the Matthaei on Friday against Mercyhurst at 7:00 p.m.
