CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Wayne State (7-0) tied its best start since 1994 with its seventh straight win in its second 3-0 win in a row at the Capital City Classic. WSU defeated Barton College 30-20, 30-10, and 30-22.

Senior Elisa Joris (Walled Lake, Mich.) totaled a team-high nine kills in just two games. Junior Kelly Sines (Clinton, Mich.) added nine kills in 17 attempts as well as six assists and five digs.

The Warriors had a very accurate attack led by Kristen Buter (Muskegon, Mich.) who had seven kills and one error (15 attempts) and Nicole Jackson (Lansing, Mich.) who added six kills with one error in nine attacks.

WSU wraps up tournament action against Mars Hill at 3:00 pm.
