MIDLAND, Mich. - The Wayne State volleyball team (1-11, 1-6 GLIAC) suffered a 3-0 defeat at Northwood (11-5, 5-3 GLIAC) in conference play on Saturday.
With game scores of 30-19, 30-23, and 30-20, the Warriors left Midland still in search of their first road win of the season.
Holly Soldenski (Warren, Mich./Warren Woods Tower) put together an errorless match, tallying seven kills for a .412 attack percentage. Kristen Buter (Muskegon, Mich./North Muskegon) contributed six kills and four digs, and Kristi Pieper (Roseville, Mich./Fraser) led all WSU players with nine digs.
Wayne State has three home matches next week, as the Warriors host Lake Superior State on Thursday, Northern Michigan on Friday, and Michigan Tech on Saturday.
