INDIANAPOLIS - The Wayne State University volleyball team (11-10) suffered a 3-0 defeat against Rockhurst University (14-10) on Friday evening in the Asics GLIAC/GLVC Crossover at Team Indiana.
The Hawks swept the Warriors by scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-21, handing Wayne State its third shutout loss of the season.
Sarha Gosselin (Harrison Twp., Mich./Warren Lincoln) finished with her eighth double-double of the season, collecting 20 kills and 11 digs. It was also her fourth 20-plus kill performance in the last five matches.
Lauren Mallast (Chesterfield, Mich./Anchor Bay) posted eight kills and three blocks, while Mayssa Bazzi (Dearborn, Mich.) contributed a match-high 19 digs.
Wayne State wraps up its participation in the tournament with a 10:00 a.m. match against Drury on Saturday.
