ERIE, Pa. - The Warrior volleyball squad was handed a 3-0 (30-25, 30-17, 30-28) loss at Gannon in GLIAC action Saturday afternoon at the Hammermill Center in Erie, Pa. Despite the loss, WSU (11-11, 6-8 GLIAC) remains in contention for a spot in the conference tournament Nov. 11-13.

For the 14th time this season, redshirt junior Elisa Joris (Walled Lake, Mich./GVSU) recorded a double-digit kill performance with 10 kills. She also had two block solos and three digs.

Libero Sei Hee Hwang (Toronto, Ont./Cedarbrae) improved on her league-leading digs per game average with a match-high 25 against the Lady Knights.

Middle blocker Sofi Berczely (Buenos Aires, Argentina) recorded half of the team's block assists with five and added five kills. Junior Megan Smolen (Grosse Ile, Mich.) contributed with 13 digs and seven kills.

Wayne State returns home to host Ashland on Friday, Oct. 29 (7:00 pm) after going 1-3 during a four-game road trip.
