ERIE, Pa. - The Wayne State volleyball team (1-20, 1-15 GLIAC) dropped a 3-1 decision at Gannon's Hammermill Center in conference play on Friday Night.
The Golden Knights took the first game, 30-23, and although the Warriors grabbed the second, 30-27, the host team nailed down the victory and improved to 9-13 on the season (5-11 GLIAC) by taking the final two games.
Miranda Robison (Coldwater, Mich.) posted a double-double with a season-high 25 kills along with 20 digs. Kristi Pieper (Roseville, Mich./Fraser) led all players with 29 digs, one shy of her season-best.
Karri Kuczajda (Waterford, Mich./Chelsea) chipped in with nine kills and a .300 attack percentage, while Meg Leone (Troy, Mich.) made 41 assists.
The Warriors will conclude their 2006 season at Mercyhurst on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 4:00 p.m.
