MARQUETTE, Mich. - A season-low .045 hitting percentage hurt the Warrior volleyball squad Saturday (Oct. 12) at Northern Michigan as it lost, 3-1. The loss brings WSU's record to 10-9 and 2-7 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Northern improves to 8-10 overall and 3-5 in the league.

Wayne State won a close first game 30-28, but games two and three were all Wildcats as they won 30-16 and 30-11. NMU then went on for the 30-26 win in game four.

Five 'Cats recorded 10 or more kills led by Holly Greenamyre's match-high 15. The Warriors' senior Jaime Banners had 11 kills and sophomore Darcie Asmdill had 10.
