ERIE, Pa. - Wayne State lost its 13th straight match Saturday as GLIAC South Division leader Mercyhurst overpowered the Warriors 3-0 with scores of 30-26, 30-23, and 30-16. WSU is now 10-15 overall and own a 2-13 conference record. The Lakers improve to 20-7, 12-4.

WSU struggled hitting, putting down a season-low 23 kills in the entire match. The team's previous low was 25 at Northwood on Sept. 21. The Warriors had just three kills in the final game to record a negative hitting percentage (-.056)

One highlight for Wayne State was senior Jaime Banners who had eight kills with zero errors for a .533 hitting percentage.

But big Laker performances by Lyndsi Hughes (15 kills, .522 percentage) and Kaili Klieman (13, .579) was just too much for WSU.

Wayne State returns home for its final weekend of the season on Friday, Nov. 9 with a 7:00 p.m. match against Ashland.
