Two Wayne State University volleyball players are ranked in the top five in the country in blocks and digs according to the latest NCAA report.

Redshirt junior Elisa Joris (Walled Lake, Mich./Western) is second in the nation in blocks, averaging 1.97 per game through last weekend. Junior libero Sei Hee Hwang (Toronto, Ont./Cedarbrae) is ranked fourth in Division II with 6.58 digs per game. Both players lead the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in their respective category.

Earlier this week, Joris also received her Capital City Classic All-Tournament Team plaque for her performances against Lenoir-Rhyne, Indiana (Pa.), Mount Olive and Lees McRae in Charleston, W.Va.

The Warriors, who are 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the GLIAC, are back on the court with home league contests against 14th-ranked Northwood (Friday, 7 pm) and Saginaw Valley State (Saturday, 1 pm).
