BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University junior outside hitter Sarha Gosselin (Harrison Twp., Mich./Warren Lincoln) was selected as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Gosselin finished with 60 kills, a .341 hitting percentage and 35 digs as the Warriors went 2-1 at the Asics GLIAC/GLVC Crossover last weekend. She posted double-doubles in all three matches and consecutive 20+ kill performances in both matches Friday, including her 21-kill, 14-dig output in a 3-2 win over #17 Lewis. She hit .516 with 19 kills and 10 digs in Saturday's sweep of Drury.
Gosselin ranks second in the GLIAC with a 3.53 kills/set average.
Wayne State resumes league play Friday with a 7:00 p.m. match at Northwood University.
