Redshirt senior Kristi Pieper (Roseville, Mich./Fraser) has been named to the 2006 All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team. It is Pieper's first career postseason award.

Playing primarily at the libero position this season, Pieper set a career-high with 365 digs and finished second in the GLIAC averaging 5.29 digs per game. In conference play alone, her 5.68 average led the GLIAC.

She played in all 22 matches and 69 of 73 games, second-most on the team, in 2006. She also led the squad with 16 service aces.

Pieper finished her four-year Wayne State career with 1,078 digs, 156 kills, 78 service aces, and 16 total blocks. She appeared in 96 matches and 339 games.
