BAY CITY, Mich. - Senior Elisa Joris (Walled Lake, Mich./Western) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division Player of the Week for the third time this season on Monday, Nov. 7. Joris also earned the honor on Sept. 12 and Sept. 26.

Joris helped WSU to a pair of home wins that clinched the final GLIAC Tournament spot, the Warriors' first postseason appearance since 1999. She posted her second triple-double of the season on Senior Day Saturday with 17 kills, a career-high 13 blocks and 12 digs. She also recorded a double-double against Northern Michigan on Friday with 14 kills and 10 digs.

For the week, the middle blocker averaged 4.36 kills, 2.36 digs and 2.09 blocks per game. She continues to lead the GLIAC in blocks (1.76) and is fourth in kills (4.22) and fifth in aces (0.42).

Wayne State travels to Ashland for a GLIAC Quarterfinal on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
