Three members of the 2005 Wayne State volleyball team were named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic team. The Warriors finished with a 16-10 record overall and earned a berth in the GLIAC Tournament for the first time since 1999.

To be eligible for GLIAC All-Academic status a student athlete must have: a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale); must be a starter or key reserve; and must not be a freshman or first-year transfer.

Selected to the GLIAC All-Academic team were redshirt senior Elisa Joris (Walled Lake, Mich./Western) and seniors Kelita Sinclair (Caledon, Ont./Turner Fenton) and Megan Smolen (Grosse Ile, Mich.).

Sinclair was selected for the third time in her career, while Joris and Smolen were honored for the second time.
