Coral Gables, Fla. - Members of the Wayne State University women's cross country squad ran in the 3000m event at the 2006 Hurricane Invitational hosted by the University of Miami on Saturday.
Freshman Rachelle Malette (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) was sixth in a time of 10:33.53. Also running for the Warriors were junior Jenni Culbertson (Clinton Twp., Mich./Dakota), freshman Laura Friedman (Canton, Mich./Plymouth Salem) and freshman Teresa Sabin (Lowell, Mich./Saranac). Culbertson was 15th (10:59.90), Friedman placed 16th (11:12.60) and Sabin finished 20th (11:38.56).
