Complete Women's Results in PDF Format

The women's cross country team entered only five athletes today, but managed to grab a third place finish at the UP Collegiate Opener.

Lauren Kessler (Ionia, Mich.) led the pack of Warriors with a time of 20:11.8 finishing second overall. Annie Magin(Richland, Mich.) and Kristi Werner (East Jordan, Mich.) joined Kessler in the top ten.

Michele Barton (Sterling Heights, Mich.) and Robin Coolsaet (Grosse Ile, Mich.) were the only freshmen to compete in the season opener. Barton ran 23:34.7 and placed 44th while Coolsaet finished 60th with a time of 27:06.2

The team will resume action at Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational September 6 at Cass-Benton Park in Northville, Michigan. The race is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m.
