NORTHVILLE, Mich. - The Wayne State University women's cross country team finished second at the Detroit Mercy Titan Invitational on Saturday. The race was held at Cass-Benton Park in Northville.

Jenni Culbertson (Clinton Twp., Mich./Dakota) ran the race in 18:46, good for fourth place, and Rachelle Malette (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) was only two seconds behind her in fifth.
Laura Friedman (Canton, Mich./Plymouth Salem) and Melissa Moncion (Washington, Mich./Romeo) also finished in the top-20 with times of 19:54 (16th) and 19:55 (18th), respectively.
The Warriors will head to Kenosha, Wisconsin next for the Midwest Collegiate race on Saturday, September 17.
