BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Wayne State's women's cross country runners placed 13th overall, and first among non-Division I programs, Saturday at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa.

Sophomore Melissa Moncion (Washington, Mich./Romeo) ran a personal-best 22:19.86 in the 6k race on the way to a fourth-place finish (48th overall). Redshirt senior Amy Averill (Detroit, Mich./Southfield Christian) was right behind her with a time of 22:21.84 in sixth place (51st).

Also in the top 10 among non-Division I runner was WSU freshman Jenni Culbertson (Clinton Twp., Mich./Dakota) with her personal-best 22:29.09, in seventh place (60th).

Freshman Faith Kejbou (Warren, Mich./Fitzgerald) and Renee Moncion (Washington, Mich./MSU) placed 14th and 17th, respectively, among Division II and III runners. Ruth Minnick (23:35/87) and Michelle Kinkela (23:55.98) also raced for the Warriors.
