EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Wayne State women's cross country squad finished in eighth place at the Great Lakes Regional held at Southern Illinois Edwardsville Saturday, Nov. 6. The Warriors totaled 187 points as fourth-eighth place was separated by 14 points. Grand Valley claimed the team title with 31 points.
Sophomore Jenni Culbertson (Clinton Twp., Mich./Dakota) was the Warriors' top finisher in 18th place (23:02.08). Junior Melissa Moncion (Washington, Mich./Romeo) placed 26th overall with a time of 23:23.18 and sophomore Leah Steinke (Windsor, Ont./Kennedy) was 39th (23:42.34).
Completing the WSU team total was Meghan Wafer (Redford, Mich./Thurston) in 40th with a 23:43.86 run and Renee Moncion (Washington, Mich./Romeo) in 64th place and a time of 24:27.51.
