Fullerton, Calif. - Members of the Wayne State University women's cross country team participated in the 2004 Ben Brown Invitational being hosted by Cal State-Fullerton on Saturday, March 13.
All eight members of the women's squad competed in two different sections of the 5000m race.
In section 1, Melissa Moncion was ninth in a time of 18:00.28, while Jenni Culbertson was 10th (18:01.67). Faith Kejbou was 11th (18:02.31) with Renee Moncion placing 24th (19:20.07).
In section 2 of the 5000m competition, Ruth Minnick was fourth (19:02.82), while Stephanie Sayler placed eighth in a time of 19:12.66. Also running in section 2 were Leah Steinke, who placed ninth (19:15.88) and Michelle Kinkela, who finished 15th (19:39.95).
