Tucson, Ariz. - Members of the 2003-04 Wayne State University women's cross country squad ran the 5000m race at the 2004 Willie Williams Classic hosted by the University of Arizona at Roy P. Drachman Stadium in Tucson.

Melissa Moncion was fifth (18:19.45), while Jenni Culbertson was eighth (18:26.61). Also competing for the Warriors were Stephanie Sayler (17th/19:35.16), Renee Moncion (19th/19:45.90), Ruth Minnick (20th/19:54.93), Faith Kejbou (21st/19:56.91) and Leah Steinke (22nd/20:10.90).
