Bay City, Mich. - The Wayne State women's cross country team participated in the Saginaw Valley Outdoor meet on Saturday and finished in 10th place with a total of 16 team points.

Sophomore Rachelle Malette (Windsor, Ontario/Holy Names) came in second place in the 3000 meter run, just 17 seconds behind Saginaw Valley's Becca Rudey.

Junio Kara Kessler (Ionia, Mich./Ionia) also came in second in the 5000 meter run, traling Michigan Tech's Jessica Pontius.
