Members of the Wayne State University women's cross country team competed at the 2004 Hillsdale "Gina" Relays at Hillsdale College last weekend.

Junior Melissa Moncion broke the school record in the 5000m with a time of 17:34.00. The previous standard was set by Shelly Vickery at 17:41.

Also running well for the Warriors and setting personal bests were Stephanie Sayler (18:39.00), Leah Steinke (18:51.40) and Moncion.

Besides Moncion's 14th-place finish, Jenni Culbertson was 21st (18:01.20), Faith Kejbou was 33rd (18:36.10) and Ruth Minnick was 56th (19:20.50).
