DETROIT - For the second consecutive week, Wayne State University junior cross country runner Rachelle Malette (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) was named GLIAC Runner of the Week. Malette captured her third individual title of the season winning the 6k race with a time of 22:09.5, more than 1:20 head of the second-place finisher at the 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate. Malette has won individual titles in three out of her last four races. This is her impressive fifth career Runner of the Week honor.

Her performance also helped Wayne State finish second behind Grand Valley State with 68 points. The previous week, she placed third at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic.
