Detroit, Mich. - The Wayne State women's cross country team will participate in the NCAA Regionals, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, on Saturday, November 4. The team is part of the 6,000-meter race that will take place at 12:15 p.m. eastern time.
Last year, the women placed eighth of 22. The best finish for the Warriors in the NCAA Regionals was in 2001, when the women came in sixth out of 20 teams.
WSU needs to finish in the top three, or to have one of the top two runners on non-qualifying teams, to advance to the NCAA Championship on November 18 at the Escambia County Equestrian Club in Pensacola, Fla.
